Weaving is a process known in textile industry that involves the interlacing two kinds of thread called warp and weft to produce raw fabrics. Basically, the result of weaving process cannot be used as cloth material or another textile supplies.

To engage in weaving, Gistex involves two units: Lagadar dan Purwakarta.

Together with those workers, Lagadar and Purwakarta unit is able to produce greige fabrics by total production of 3 million yard/month. This success was supported by the newest production machines from Toyota Japan. Today, the rotation speed of weaving machine in Gistex is 700-750 rpm, producing greige fabrics in 24 hours 7 days a week. This is of course very encouraging since not every company has such a sophisticated machine.
